Had the Detroit Zoo 8. Excellent, only a 15 minute wait at lunchtime on a Monday. Our first time in Detroit and we had to try Buddy's Crust is just right, good tomatoes, roasted peppers and cheese. Girl at the take out counter is very nice and friendly too!!!

I'm a huge Chicago pizza fan, so imagine my surprise when I learned that I would be in the Motor City and could try authentic Detriot-style pizza. I did lots of research and Buddy's was definitely in the top 5, so we gave it a try. Buddy's was only four blocks from our hotel and the space was sporty, festive, and welcoming. It didn't have the mom & pop feel you probably get from the original, but the vibe definitely works for the area. The entrance is a bit confusing, as there is a takeout bar right next door to the sit down restaurant. The service was pretty mid-west standard, which means it's 10x better than any service you get in DC (where we currently live). We got the Mediterranean pizza, which initially gave me pause because it has beets on it. Beets. Wow, was I surprised. It was fantastic. We also tried the fries and house salad, which were both solid. It was such a good time, that I wish I'd gone back again before we left. I'm not saying Detriot over Chicago, but I'm definitely a fan. Now if we're talking about Bears or Lions, it's a different story...

Great Detroit pizza. Service was great considering we had taken six late tables for dinner on a Saturday. Pizza was wonderful. The crust was light and crunchy. I had the Mediterranean Pizza, I thought it was great. The tables were set up to get as many seated comfortably.

Friends advised us if we wanted Detroit style pizza, to come here. We arrived just as they opened. Greeted and seated right away. Place was a good size and as getting packed as we left. We started with the house salad with garlic parm dressing and buddy bread. Both so so good!! I asked if they bottled the dressing she said no lol we ordered the 4 square Detroiter pizza. Amazing. Hands down so so good. Highly recommend going. You won't be disappointed.

I heard this was the best Detroit Deep Dish Pizza....soooo....yeah I'm here. It close to the Detroit Lions Stadium. From the outside it's touristy....walk inside and you're greeted and taken to a table. There were a lot of people inside and loud...good atmosphere. Lots of seating and good for groups. I ended up ordering the Meat Lover's Pizza & BBQ Wings. The Wings are good but their small wings so buy 16 piece and not the 8 piece.....you don't get enough meat on the bones. Deep Dish Pizza is good....crust and toppings were good. Stop by if you want some pizza.

I visited Buddy's downtown location for lunch with a group of coworkers, and I can't recommend it enough! We had a large party of seven, but we were seated quickly, which was a plus. Before we placed our orders, our waitress informed us that gratuity was automatically added to our bill, which was a nice touch given our large group. To start, we ordered a variety of appetizers: meatballs, chicken wings, and a Greek salad. All of our starters arrived promptly. The meatballs were huge, well-seasoned, and covered in delicious cheese, accompanied by some tasty garlic bread. The chicken wings were crispy and perfectly cooked; instead of being tossed in sauce, we had blue cheese and mild sauce served on the side. The Greek salad was fresh and crisp, tossed in a light dressing, and the beets and cucumbers added a nice touch. For the main course, everyone ordered individual pizzas, which took a bit longer to arrive but were completely worth the wait. I tried the 4-square spicy Italian pizza, and as a first-timer trying Detroit-style pizza, I was thoroughly impressed! The thick crust was just right, and the combination of Italian sausage and seasonings was fantastic. Overall, my experience at Buddy's was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful with recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed. There were no complaints about the food; everything was delicious! If you're craving some great pizza in the area, check out Buddy's!
